Managed under the "Hidden Gems" philosophy of Stejos Tours, this day trip takes you through the lush, rolling tea plantations of Limuru into the deep, indigenous canopy of the Kereita Forest.
Your journey begins in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser, ensuring a comfortable and scenic ride up the escarpment. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the tranquility of the Aberdare Range’s southern tip. The day features a guided nature walk to explore the forest's vibrant flora, hidden caves, and the breathtaking Makalia-style waterfalls. For those seeking a thrill, Kereita is home to East Africa’s longest zipline, mountain biking trails, and archery ranges. Whether you are looking for a quiet retreat or a heart-pounding team-building experience, The Forest provides the perfect highland backdrop.

The Forest
The restaurant has a view over the valleys, serving locally grown, healthy food to match all budgets.
How much are the extra activities?
Ziplining typically ranges from KES 1,800 to 2,800, while Archery and Paintball start from approximately KES 1,450 to 2,100.
Is the 4x4 Land Cruiser necessary?
While the road is paved most of the way, the Land Cruiser provides better elevation for views and handles the forest terrain much more comfortably than a standard van.
What should I wear?
Limuru is cold and the forest can be damp. We recommend warm layers, trousers (mandatory for ziplining), and sturdy outdoor shoes.
Can we bring our own food?
No, outside food and picnics are generally not allowed within The Forest Adventure Centre; however, their restaurant offers a great variety of meals.
