Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Step off the plane at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) where you will be warmly received by our representative with a traditional meet-and-greet. Enjoy a private airport transfer to your hotel. Settle into the city, relax, and enjoy dinner as you prepare for the grand journey ahead.
Day 2: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
After an early breakfast, your professional English-speaking driver-guide will pick you up in your private, customized 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser. Travel north past spectacular views of Mt. Kenya, arriving in Samburu in time for lunch, check-in, and an introductory afternoon game drive to spot the unique "Special Five."
Day 3: Full Day Safari in Samburu National Reserve
Dedicate your day to exploring the unique arid ecosystem of Samburu. Watch for specialized wildlife like the Reticulated Giraffe and Grevy's Zebra. This day also includes an immersive cultural visit to a traditional Samburu Village to experience their rich ancestral heritage.
Day 4: Samburu to Lake Naivasha
Drive south through the scenic central highlands down into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Arrive for a hot lunch at your resort. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful, scenic boat ride excursion on the lake, getting up close to schools of hippos and diverse bird species.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Depart the lakeside and cross the valley floor through Narok town into the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife kingdom—the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Check into your safari accommodation and unwind before setting off on your first Mara evening game drive.
