Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Located in the Laikipia region between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is one of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife conservation areas. It is internationally recognized for its efforts in protecting endangered species and promoting sustainable wildlife management.

Samburu National Reserve lies in Kenya’s northern frontier and offers a unique safari experience characterized by dramatic semi-arid landscapes, rocky outcrops and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River.

Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or the airport in Nairobi followed by a scenic drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy located in the Laikipia region. Enjoy beautiful countryside views along the way with a brief stop at the equator crossing point in Nanyuki.

Arrive at Serena Sweetwaters Camp in time for lunch and check-in. Later in the afternoon, proceed for a game drive within Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The conservancy is well known for its successful rhino conservation program and diverse wildlife population. During the game drive, visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the Northern White Rhino enclosure while spotting elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes and other wildlife.

Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Meru National Park

After breakfast, depart for Meru National Park, a beautiful and less crowded wilderness known for its rivers, lush vegetation and abundant wildlife. The drive offers scenic views of rural landscapes and small towns in central Kenya.

Arrive at Rhino River Camp in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in Meru National Park where you may encounter elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes and a variety of bird species.

Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Meru National Park – Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for Samburu National Reserve as you travel north through the changing landscapes of northern Kenya.

Arrive at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in Samburu or Shaba National Reserve. This region is famous for its unique wildlife species known as the “Samburu Special Five” including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx and gerenuk.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve – Full Day Game Drives

After breakfast, spend the day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Wildlife is often spotted along the Ewaso Nyiro River which attracts elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs and many other species.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before continuing with another afternoon game drive.

Day 5: Samburu National Reserve – Nairobi – Departure

Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and beginning your return journey to Nairobi. Travel through the scenic central highlands and rural landscapes of Kenya.

Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence or at the airport for your onward flight.
