NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK    DESCRIPTION   LANDCRUISER PACKAGE
Nairobi National Park  Per Person Sharing        Kes 10,500

What Makes This Package Unique?

The hallmark of this tour is the Land Cruiser experience. Unlike standard vans, our customized 4x4 Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs offer 360-degree views, making it easier to spot elusive leopards or the endangered Black Rhino. The park is a world-renowned rhino sanctuary, and sightings of both Black and White rhinos are highly likely.

Wildlife Highlights

During your half-day safari, you can expect to encounter:

  • The Big Cats: Lions are the kings of this park, often spotted near the Kingfisher picnic site or the Athi Basin. Leopards and cheetahs are also present, though they require a keen eye (and the expertise of our guides) to find.
  • The Rhino Sanctuary: Nairobi National Park is one of the most successful rhino breeding grounds in Africa.
  • Diverse Herbivores: Towering giraffes, massive Cape buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and various antelope species like the impala and eland.
  • Birdwatcher’s Paradise: With over 400 species of birds, including the African Fish Eagle and the Secretary Bird, the park is a vibrant ecosystem for avian enthusiasts.

Conservation & History

A stop at the Ivory Burning Site Monument is a poignant highlight of the tour. This is where former Kenyan presidents set fire to tons of confiscated ivory, sending a powerful global message against the illegal wildlife trade. It stands as a symbol of Kenya’s unwavering commitment to conservation.

Perfect for Every Traveler

  • Business Travelers: Have a morning meeting? Join our afternoon tour.

  • Layovers: If you have 6+ hours at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), we can pick you up and drop you back in time for your flight.

  • Families: It’s a short, engaging trip that won't exhaust young children, featuring iconic animals they recognize from books and movies.

Is Nairobi National Park safe for tourists?

Yes, the park is very safe. You will be in a secure 4x4 vehicle with an experienced guide who understands animal behavior and park safety protocols.

How do I pay for the park entry fees?

Park fees are paid directly to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) via the eCitizen online platform. We recommend setting up your account and paying in advance to save time at the gate.

Can I see the "Big Five" in Nairobi National Park?

ou can see four of the Big Five: Lion, Leopard, Rhino, and Buffalo. There are no elephants in this park to prevent habitat destruction in such a small area; however, you can visit them at the nearby Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.

What should I wear on the safari?

We recommend comfortable, neutral-colored clothing. Mornings can be chilly, so bring a light jacket. Don’t forget your sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen.

Is the tour private or shared?

Stejos Tours offers both! Our standard half-day package is typically a private tour for your group (up to 7 people per Land Cruiser), but we can also arrange shared group joins upon request.

Is this tour suitable for a layover at JKIA?

Absolutely. The park is only 15–20 minutes from the airport. If you have a layover of at least 6 hours, this is the perfect way to spend your time.
