Day 1: Arrival: Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai and transfer to your hotel.

Spend the rest of the day resting, or take a walk around your neighborhood and get your first feel of the city.
Day 2: Shanghai Sightseeing

After breakfast, head out with your guide to Pudong, the futuristic financial district, including a stop at the Oriental Pearl Tower or viewpoint.

Take a ferry across the Huangpu River, getting great views of both the historic Bund and modern skyline.

Walk through the Old City and visit Yuyuan Garden — a classical Chinese garden from the Ming era.

Explore Xintiandi, a trendy area with boutique shops and cafés in beautifully restored Shikumen houses.

End the day with a stroll along The Bund, soaking in the colonial-era architecture and river views.

The afternoon is free for you to optionally take a night boat ride or explore on your own.
Day 3: Shanghai → Luoyang

Depart early via high-speed train for Luoyang, a city rich in Chinese history.

On arrival, have lunch.

Visit the Longmen Grottoes, a UNESCO site carved into cliffs along the river, with thousands of Buddha statues.

Enjoy a boat ride on the river below the grottoes to get a new perspective on the caves.

Stay overnight in Luoyang or nearby depending on the package.
Day 4: Luoyang → Sanmenxia → Xian

Visit White Horse Temple, one of China’s oldest Buddhist temples, in the morning.

Continue to Sanmenxia, where you’ll see the Yellow River and visit Baolun Temple and the nearby Guo Museum, which has ancient artifacts including funeral carriages from the State of Guo.

In the late afternoon, depart for Xian, one of China’s most historic cities.

Arrive, check in, and rest for the evening.
Day 5: Xian: Terracotta Army & City Tour

In the morning, visit the Terracotta Army Museum, famous worldwide for its life-sized clay warriors guarding Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb.

Return to Xian city to visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist pagoda.

Explore the Muslim Quarter, tasting local snacks, and then visit the Great Mosque, a beautiful mix of Chinese and Islamic architecture.

Visit the Drum Tower, and (depending on schedule) enjoy a short traditional instrument performance.

Stay overnight in Xian.
Day 6: Xian Departure

After breakfast, check out of your hotel.

Depending on your flight time, you may have a short free period in Xian.
